Quote from Mike Holmes
As a father and a grandfather it’s important to me to protect the next generation. I am seeing more and more homeowners and builders testing their homes for radon. But I also want to see our schools and daycares tested for this known health risk. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer for non smokers. Janet Whitehead has never smoked a cigarette. So when she was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2010, the news came as a shock.
Janet shared her story about radon-induced lung cancer. Now she continues to bring awareness to radon with her daughter Emma. Emma owns a daycare in Vancouver and tested for radon. Hear their story and plea to test schools, daycares and homes to create a safer environment for our kids.
